Description: "Thollem might be a musician, or he might be some kind of wizard scientist, the experience might melt your mind." (The Denver Westword) At the miniBar, he'll be playing pieces from his solo albums Electric Confluence, 13 Billion Years to Tomorrow, Operation Sunbeam, Who Are US, Machine In The Ghost, Tsigoti and more. Thollem's collaborative electric projects and albums include: 'The Radical Empathy Trio' with Nels Cline and Michael Wimberly; 'Hand To Man Band' with Mike Watt, John Dieterich and Tim Barnes; 'Whistling Joy Jumpers' with Brian Chase and Jad Fair; 'Conformity Contortion' with Sara Lund; 'Tsigoti' with Andrea Caprara, Jacopo Andreini, Piero Spitilli and Matteo Bennici; Nashville Electric with Ed Pettersen, Tracy Silverman, Dylan Simon and Ryan Norris; 'Trio Music Minus One' with Gino Robair; 'Bad News From Houston' with John Dieterich, 'Blind Curves and Box Canyons' with Rob Mazurek, Dub Narcotic II with Brian Chase and Todd Clouser, and Keyngdrum Overdrive with a whole slew of incredible drummers. Hist fourth album with Nels Cline, and second with the Radical Empathy Trio, Reality and Other Imaginary Places, is coming out on ESP-disk Oct. 25th.
