Description: On Saturday, Aug. 17, 2019, the public can visit The National Museum of Toys and Miniatures at no cost during our regular hours. Farewell to Summer Free Day includes a new spy-themed scavenger hunt and craft workshop. Visitors of all ages will enjoy an adventure full of mysterious clues and secret codes. Activities will be available while supplies last. T/m's free admission day also includes entry into the temporary exhibit A Space of Our Own: Dollhouses of the 20th Century. Featuring some never-before-seen examples from T/m's extensive dollhouse collection, the exhibit explores the ways dollhouses, a toy of the upper class in the 19th century, became an iconic toy for the masses in the 20th century alongside the rise of the middle class. Also, within A Space of Our Own is a can't-miss interactive attraction: a dollhouse large enough for children and adults to enter!
