KPR Presents the 2022 BBC Proms

KPR is thrilled to showcase the most memorable performances of the 2022 BBC Proms, the UK’s annual celebration of classical music from London’s Royal Albert Hall. This eight-week stretch of concerts, which KPR will begin airing on Wednesday, August 3, brings the best in classical music to the widest possible audience, which remains true to founder-conductor Henry Wood's original vision in 1895.

Celebrate 70 Years with Kansas Public Radio!

Kansas Public Radio began our first day on the air as KANU on September 15, 1952, and this year we celebrate the 70th anniversary of the station that has brought you the music, news, and entertainment you've known and loved for seven decades. Help us commemorate this special milestone with a year of exciting events! And be sure to check out our new, limited-edition 70th anniversary merchandise in the KPR Online Store at the link here.

Support KPR and Statehouse News During One Day. One KU.

Support Kansas Public Radio and Statehouse News during One Day. One KU., the University of Kansas's 24-hour giving campaign, on Feb. 17. Your gift will go directly towards hiring a new KPR Statehouse News Reporter. KPR needs to hire a new Statehouse Bureau Chief, and recent budget cuts mean we need help in order to fill this position and continue providing this important service.
