We Have So Many Great Reasons For YOU To Become A KPR Member

Listen to KPR starting this week for your chance to give back! We'll have special programming designed to inform you on just how you can help us reach our goal. KPR is almost entirely dependent on listener support. It's listeners like you that make it possible for us to stay on the air. Thank you!

During our fall membership drive, we hope you take a moment to renew your pledge or become a new member. KPR is a listener supported public radio station. Listeners help pay for the thought-provoking, well-crafted and informative programs. Listeners also pay for transmitters, computers, electricity – everything it takes to bring you those programs.

And this fall we have a great week of incentives to give, including:

Power Breakfast - Call in your pledge on Thursday, 9/12, 6:30-8 a.m., to DOUBLE your pledge of any amount!
Meet KPR at the Farmers' Market - We'll be pitching LIVE from the Lawrence Farmers' Market on Saturday, 9/14, 7-10 a.m., and if you donate $60+ or $5/month or more, you'll get one of our reusable veggie bags. Come see us at the Market to pledge AND pick up your bag!
Sustaining Member Monday - David Parker was so impressed by Sustainer support in the spring, that he's pledged another $10,000 if we get  150 new or upgrading Sustainers on Monday, 9/16.

$10 Friday - On the final Friday of the drive, 9/20, we'll be encouraging you to join at just $10/month or more, and when you pledge, you'll be automatically entered to win fabulous prizes throughout the day (all Sustainers are automatically entered to win).*

PRIZES:

  • Morning Edition - 6-9 a.m. - a pair of tickets to (4) Kansas City Ballet performances (Carmina Burana, The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Celts)
  • Morning Classical - 9 a.m.-Noon - a pair of tickets to (5) Lyric Opera of Kansas City performances
  • Afternoon Classical - Noon-3 p.m. - a pair of tickets to (7) productions by Topeka Civic Theatre
  • All Things Considered - 3-6 p.m. - a KPR swag bag, including (1) Amazon Echo Dot, (1) KPR T-Shirt (1) Retro Cocktail Hour T-Shirt (2) KPR Member Mugs (1) Sustainer Container (1) License Plate (2) Reusable Straws (1) Veggie Bag (2) Tickets to KPR's Big Band Christmas Concert on Saturday, December 14, 2019.

*Technically, donations aren’t required for these prize drawings, but a gift to KPR would sure be appreciated! Every penny protects the programming you depend on every day. See here for more information about KPR Prize Drawings.

If you are already a Sustaining member, there are a couple ways to upgrade your membership:

If you are giving via EFT or KU Payroll Deduction and would like to upgrade your installment amount, please send a request via email or mail to Membership Director Joanna Fewins, at 1120 W 11th St, Lawrence, KS 66044. If you would like to increase your monthly credit card contributions, click here to enter a new monthly plan (your old one will be canceled), or you may call the pledge line starting Thursday, September 12, at 888-577-5268 and tell the volunteer you'd like to upgrade. They will need your credit card number again in order to enter a new plan.

Here’s another great reason to be a KPR member—the KPR MemberCard. When you give $120 or more, you’ll be able to take advantage of hundreds of dining, lodging, health & wellness, and entertainment opportunities throughout the Kansas City area and across northeast and east-central Kansas, giving you “2-for-1 entrees” or other savings at your favorite restaurants and museums. Click HERE for more information.
