The Race Is On: KPR's Sustainer Sprint

UPDATE: While we didn't reach our goal of adding 125 new Sustaining members, we will be able to cut 7 hours off the upcoming drive because of those who did join the KPR Sustainer Circle in August! We'll return to regular programming after Morning Edition on Thursday, September 20. Thank you to ALL of our members for making this possible!

KPR's Sustainer Sprint is our 26-day marathon to welcome 125 new Sustaining members to the Kansas Public Radio family. The race ends at noon on Friday, August 31. If we meet our goal, we'll cut an entire day of fundraising off this fall's membership drive! The drive is currently scheduled for Wednesday, September 19-Friday, September 28.

What's a Sustainer?

  • Instead of making a single gift once a year, Sustainers make a budget-friendly monthly contribution in any amount on a credit card or bank account - just like you'd pay for your Netflix or Spotify subscription.
  • Your donation will continue uninterrupted until you contact us to make a change.

Why Sustainers are Awesome

  • Sustainers provide 30 percent of KPR's annual membership revenue, providing a steady source of revenue that KPR turns into the independent journalism, essential music, and inclusive, respectful conversations you rely on year round.
  • Sustainers also save KPR money because your membership is always current - no more renewal notices.

What's in it for You?

  • The ease and convenience of automatic contributions with the flexibility of making changes anytime.
  • You'll receive exclusive opportunities to attend events around the listening area, including ticket discounts and drawings.
  • You can pick up a FREE Sustainer Container (see below) anytime from the station or at events KPR attends in the community.
  • If you become a Sustainer by Friday, August 31, you'll be automatically entered to win a package including a pair of tickets to The Bridges of Madison County at Theatre Lawrence (playing Sept. 21-Oct. 7), and One-Night Stay at the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Lawrence!*

Convinced? Great! You can start your Sustaining Membership in minutes HERE. Thank you very much for your support!

Already a Sustainer? Share this on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter and ask your friends to become a #KPRSustainer too!
