Q:  Miltonvale, Kan., is named after Milton Tootle, who once owned the land where the town was built. What's the name of the annual celebration where residents celebrate their town and the town's namesake?

A:
Tootlefest (Don't you just love saying that word?)

Miltonvale, in Cloud County, Kan., was established on Dec. 1, 1881. Milton Tootle once owned the land where the town was built. Townsfolk celebrate this fact every August with their annual “Tootlefest.” Perhaps residents thought this name sounded better than “Milton-fest?”

Incidentally, Tootlefest is held every year, on the fourth weekend of August. Make plans to attend now and be sure to get there early, before all the Tootlefest T-shirts are gone!
