Conversations: Paula Martinac, "The Ada Decades"

Paula Martinack is an author, playwright, historian and professor at the University of North Carolina. Her debut novel Out of Time, won the 1990 Lambda Literary Ward for Lesbian Fiction. On this edition of Conversations, I talk with her about her latest novel, The Ada Decades. The title of the novel refers to the central character, Ada Shook. The story spans seven decades and opens with a 12-year-old Ada in 1947.

Dan Skinner is a former Director of Kansas Public Radio and the Audio-Reader Network. He is the host of KPR's Conversations program.
