Conversations: Linda Nathan, "When Grit Isn't Enough"

What does it take to succeed in college? Linda Nathan has taught at the Harvard Graduate School of Education for 15 years and was the co-founder of the Boston Arts Academy where she served as headmaster for 14 years. Drawing from that experience and more, on this edition of Conversations, Dr. Nathan joins us to talk about the issues covered in her latest book, When Grit Isn’t Enough – A High School Principal examines how Poverty and Inequality Thwart the College-For-All Promise.

Dan Skinner is a former Director of Kansas Public Radio and the Audio-Reader Network. He is the host of KPR's Conversations program.
