Conversations: Dan Buettner, "The Blue Zones of Happiness"

Dan Buettner is a National Geographic Explorer and the founder of Blue Zones, an organization that helps Americans live longer, healthier, happier lives. He is the bestselling author of three previous books The Blue Zones, Thrive, and The Blue Zones Solution. On this edition of Conversations, he joins us to talk about his latest book, The Blue Zones of Happiness: Lessons From the World's Happiest People. Buettner discusses how the areas of pleasure, purpose and pride combine to increase our level of happiness. Research also shows that geography, and your social circle, have a big impact on our happiness.

Dan Skinner is a former Director of Kansas Public Radio and the Audio-Reader Network. He is the host of KPR's Conversations program.
