Cinema a Go-Go is heading back to the big screen at the Theatre Lawrence Drive-In Friday, August 7, and Saturday, August 8, for the 1951 film classic - The Royal Wedding.
The Royal Wedding features Fred Astaire and Jane Powell who play a brother and sister dance act in this lighthearted musical. Tom (Astaire) and Ellen (Powell) take their act to
England where they are set to perform for Princess Elizabeth's wedding. Both siblings find romance in England which creates a rift in their rehearsal schedule. This classic musical film features many iconic dance numbers and tunes.
Gates open at 8:30 p.m., and the film will start around 9 (or as soon as it gets dark enough). KPR will have a prize giveaway at the end of the film. You can enter to win* for the Friday, August 7, giveaway here and enter to win for the Saturday, August 8, giveaway here.

How It Works:
- Buy your tickets here.
- Only one ticket is required per car. Tickets are $10/carload.
- Tickets must be purchased online prior to the event.
- The event will take place in the Theatre Lawrence parking lot. Movies will be projected onto the East side of the building.
- The gates will open at 8:30 p.m. on the day of the event.
- Check in at the gate (South Parking Lot Entrance) with your name (no contact required).
- Instructions will be given about how to tune into the audio via your car radio.
- You will be directed to a parking spot in the Theatre Lawrence parking lot.
- Enjoy the show!
Things To Keep In Mind:
The following are subject to change based on the current health guidelines.
- For the safety of everyone, please remain in your car to practice safe social distancing.
- Feel free to bring your own snacks and beverages. Upon ticket purchase, you will also have the option to purchase concessions from Theatre Lawrence.
- Trash receptacles will not be made available, so plan accordingly if you bring snacks.
- In the event of inclement weather, you will be emailed about event postponements.
