KPaRtist - Janey Greene

"Three Red Chimneys" by Janey Greene

The latest in featured KPaRtists is Janey Greene, a Baldwin City resident, who uses plenty of color and has a "sort of off-beat view of the world around me."

"Painting is a joyful experience for me that I hope reflects in my work. I love bold, vibrant colors and interesting patterns. I use acrylic paint because it seems to best suit my style, which is modern and abstract with a touch of whimsy. My family lovingly tells me that the name of my company, 'OFF THE WALL,' matches my personality."

Deborah Brown, Live on The Jazz Scene

She'll perform several numbers and chat with KPR jazz host David Basse. Members of her band are pianist Joe Cartwright, drummer Todd Strait, bassist Joris Teepe and saxophonist Sylwester Ostrowski.

KPR's December Mini-Drive Is the Best Time to Give

Kansas Public Radio fell short of our fall fundraising goal, so we're looking for your help to finish the year in a strong financial position. Thursday and Friday, KPR will be on air asking YOU to help out with a year-end, tax-deductible contribution.

We also have a present for you this holiday season: your gift will be matched DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR by the Harrison Family Fund of the Douglas County Community Foundation, making your donation to KPR go twice as far.
