Conversations is sometimes serious and sometimes humorous, but always informative. Host Dan Skinner shares interviews with writers about recent works of fiction and non-fiction, featuring internationally known best-selling authors as well as new voices in literature. Conversations also shares updates on the area art scene through discussions about upcoming performances and exhibits. 

Conversations: Shannon Reilly, Topeka Civic Theatre Summer Camps

Topeka Civic Theatre offers summer theatre camps and classes for children at different times throughout the year. On this edition of Conversations, Shannon Reilly, the Artistic Director of the theatre, joins us to talk about the programs available for children and describes how the experience can help children develop new skills and confidence. Conversations: Dr. Bethany Ehlmann, "Dr. E's Super Stellar Solar System"

Bethany Ehlmann is a planetary geologist who studies the earth and other planets in the solar system. She is a participating scientist on the NASA Mars Rover Curiosity mission, a research scientist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and an assistant professor of planetary science at CalTech. Andrew Lewis is the Associate Dean of Performance at The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. He‘s in Lawrence to direct the KU University Theatre production of When the Rain Stops Falling. On this edition of Conversations, he joins us to talk the time traveling drama about family, which also raises questions about climate change and sustainability. It opens March 2 in the Crafton-Preyer Theatre.
