What exactly is fake news and who gets to decide what is and isn’t real? These are just a few of the questions examined by On the Media, a WYNC show now available on KPR’s news and talk station, KPR2.
  • Kidnapping cases are often complicated and tedious, but the case of Jacob Wetterling seemed like it should have been open and shut. Jacob was kidnapped in front of two of his friends one night in 1989 as they biked home on a dead-end street in St. Joseph, Minnesota. As law enforcement scrambled to find the boy and return him home, the town was ripped apart and the case seemed to go colder and colder.
  • Throughout the months of February and March, the rotating display of local art in KPR’s conference room will feature pieces from Cottonwood, Inc., consumers. Cottonwood is a non-profit organization that provides services and programs for individuals with developmental disabilities in the Lawrence community. Cottonwood encourages their consumers to make art and attend classes to help them express themselves.
