This week's KPR Presents features former U.S. Poet Laureate and Pulitzer Prize-winner Ted Kooser, from a reading sponsored by the University of Kansas Libraries. We'll also hear the collaborative efforts of Kansas Poet Laureate Caryn Mirriam-Goldberg and singer-songwriter Kelley Hunt, in a reading performed at the Lawrence Public Library.

Study Shows Support For Health Care For All in KS Date: June 8, 2008
   What people want from a health care system and what they are willing to pay for could be very different from what lawmakers have assumed.

   A series of three eight-hour health care reform discussions in Overland Park, Garden City and Pittsburg showed that 88 percent of the participants want everyone in the state to have health insurance coverage.

   The study also showed strong support for preventive health care, for funding those costs through taxes and for making sure everyone has a "medical home."
