We'll also hear the collaborative efforts of Kansas Poet Laureate Caryn Mirriam-Goldberg and singer-songwriter Kelley Hunt, in a reading performed at the Lawrence Public Library.

   Tens of thousands of Americans are living with a broad, but poorly understood, class of genetic disorders. These conditions interfere with a body's ability to convert food and oxygen into energy. What’s more, these conditions are tough to diagnose, because the symptoms are so varied.
