We'll also hear the collaborative efforts of Kansas Poet Laureate Caryn Mirriam-Goldberg and singer-songwriter Kelley Hunt, in a reading performed at the Lawrence Public Library.

School's out, and summer travellers are beginning to head out for their vacation destinations. Commentator William Jennings Bryan Oleander knows a man who devised a scheme to get some of those tourists to make a detour to his small town. Main Street is still a little too quiet, but the town never smelled better.
