| Item Listing | Moran Highlights Tiahrt Ethics Investigations in Mailing Date: July 30, 2010 Kansas Congressman Jerry Moran is reminding voters in the Republican U-S Senate primary of an ethics case involving rival candidate and Congressman Todd Tiahrt. Tiahrt's campaign has long cried foul over Moran's campaign talking about an investigation of Tiahrt by the U-S House. Its Ethics Committee concluded in February there was no evidence of wrongdoing by Tiahrt in how his office handled budget earmarks. But in May, another ethics office turned over information about defense contractors linked to the case to the U-S Justice Department. Moran raised the issue again in a recent mailing to Kansas voters. A Tiahrt supporter, state Representative Rob Olson, of Olathe, decried what he called dirty politics.
