| Item Listing | Details of KS-Bombardier Aerospace Deal Announced Date: July 30, 2010 Bombardier Aerospace will build its new midsize Learjet 85 in Wichita in exchange for $27 million in bond financing from the state. The agreement was announced today (FRI) by Governor Mark Parkinson and Steve Ridolfi, Bombardier's business aircraft president. The production of the Learjet 85 will mean 600 jobs for Wichita, with 300 of those new positions. It also includes a guarantee that the firm will keep its operations in the state. Bombardier will invest $600 million in an expansion at the Learjet site that will include a new paint facility, customer delivery center, production flight test facility and expanded production hangars for final assembly of the plane.
