Small Kansas towns have always been the foundation of the state's success. They're places where ideas percolate, populism finds its voice, and where the democratic process is allowed to take center stage. Yet little towns in Kansas have been disappearing at an alarming rate. On this Kansas Day, commentator William Jennings Bryan Oleander says that the state's small towns not only have to be creative about marketing themselves...they have to have the will to make good things happen.
