As the number of computer monitors has multiplied, there's been a steady decline in the use of textbooks and other printed materials. Supporters of the movement toward electronic texts say a "paperless classroom" makes for more efficient learning. But Commentator John Richard Schrock worries that the new technology isn't as practical as it appears...and may actually be more costly, in both dollars, and in the *quality* of education.
