Here in the United States, we remember it as the Tiananmen Square stand-off. It was 20 years ago this month that a young protester stood in front of a row of Chinese tanks -- stopping them in their tracks. As part of KPR's occasional series on China, Commentator John Richard Schrock tells us there are different views on whose actions were more heroic that day.

Commentator John Richard Schrock is Professor of Biology and Director of Biology Education at Emporia State University. Schrock first went to Hong Kong in the mid-1970s. For a number of years, he's spent time as a guest teacher and lecturer at schools and universities in China.
