This week's KPR Presents features former U.S. Poet Laureate and Pulitzer Prize-winner Ted Kooser, from a reading sponsored by the University of Kansas Libraries. We'll also hear the collaborative efforts of Kansas Poet Laureate Caryn Mirriam-Goldberg and singer-songwriter Kelley Hunt, in a reading performed at the Lawrence Public Library.

Spring Has Sprung in Here, Kansas   Date: April 23, 2009
   We're now more than a month into the official season of spring. Like

   everyone else, the residents of Here, Kansas have been patiently waiting all winter long for the flowers to bloom and the trees to come alive again. Commentator William Jennings Bryan Oleander (OH-lee-an-der) is one of those residents happy to see spring finally take hold.
