Three pianists from the International Institute for Young Musicians played at the KPR studios
in advance of the winners' concert July 8 at 7:30 in Swarthout Recital Hall. Michael Nguyen of
Melbourne, Australia, played an excerpt from Granados' Goyescas. Caleb Borick of Charleston, South Carolina,
performed the second Hungarian Rhapsody of Liszt, and competition winner Jessica Zhang from Tempe, Arizona,
chose the opening of Chopin's third sonata.
