The latest confimed case is the 15th in Kansas.

The first case of the Zika virus has now been confirmed in Shawnee County. Craig Barnes, with the Shawnee County Health Department, says an adult with a history of traveling abroad has tested positive for the virus, and that this is not a case of local transmission…

Barnes says there's no evidence that the type of mosquito associated with Zika has made its way to Kansas, but officials at the Centers for Disease Control say that the insect’s range does include part of the state. The newly confirmed Zika case is the 15th in Kansas.
