Watkins Museum Seeks "Day After" Movie Extras for Oral Histories

Thirty years ago, Lawrence was transformed into a post-apocalyptic city for the television movie "The Day After." Abby Pierron (PAIR-in), of the Watkins Community Museum of History, says they're looking for people involved in the 1982 filming for their "Day After" reunion Thursday evening.

As part of an exhibit on "The Day After," Kansas Public Radio will be recording oral histories at Thursday's reunion in Lawrence. There's more information about the "Day After" project at the Watkins Museum online at watkinsmuseum.org.
