Paychecks in Kansas are growing, according to the U.S. Department of Labor. Jacqueline Midkiff, with the department's office in Kansas City, says one particular industry is outpacing others.
Midkiff says across the board through the Midwest, wages were up 1.9 percent over this time last year, while inflation grew at 1.4 for the same time period.
