Voter Registration Law Leaves 12,000 Apps on Hold

(Photo by Stephen Koranda)A law that took effect in January is blocking about 12,000 Kansans from registering to vote.  For people registering to voter for the first time, the new law requires them to prove their citizenship with a document like a birth certificate.  As KPR’s Stephen Koranda tells us, that requirement is causing problems for some people registering to vote at DMV offices across the state.
