Two Lawrence Police Officers Suspended in Ticket-Fixing Scheme

The Lawrence Journal-World is reporting that two Lawrence police officers have been suspended in connection with a ticket-fixing scheme.  According to the newspaper, city leaders have confirmed that the officers were suspended following an investigation conducted by the FBI related to traffic tickets being fixed in exchange for Kansas University basketball tickets.  City Manager David Corliss has confirmed that the person whose traffic tickets were fixed is now serving time in a federal prison related to the broader KU ticket scandal.
