Tornado Coverage Spurring Kansans To Donate, Volunteer

Coverage of the tornado destruction in Reading and Joplin is all over the television and radio. And local charities say that is spurring many Kansans to want to help. KPR’s Stephen Koranda has more on the best ways to support recovery efforts in Kansas and Missouri.

Again, there’s more information on donating to the Red Cross at thinkred.org (think red dot org). You can reach the United Way by calling 2-1-1 anywhere in Kansas.

Stephen Koranda is KPR's Statehouse reporter.
