A Topeka man charged in the Christmas Eve death of a liquor store clerk is now facing federal charges. Matthew Myers is accused of shooting and killing 41-year-old Matthew Hill at Hudson Liquor in Topeka. The case was being handled by the Shawnee County district attorney. U.S. attorney for Kansas, Barry Grissom, says his office will now take over the prosecution.
Grissom's office filed three charges against Myers, including robbery and murder.
