The Kansas Board of Regents has announced the creation of a statewide task force on oral health. It’s charged with making recommendations for getting more dentists to set up practices throughout Kansas. Task force member Kevin Robertson says one thing the committee is likely to do is establish a way to educate dentists in Kansas. There’s no way to do that now.
Many Kansas dentists get their training at the University of Missouri, Kansas City or U-M-K-C. The 10-member task force is expected to release its findings sometime next year.
