State Officials Meet with Boeing over 777X Project

(Photo via  Boeing) Governor Sam Brownback says state officials are working to attract a new Boeing aircraft production line to Kansas. Brownback says he met with Boeing officials last week.

Brownback says multiple states are trying to attract the aircraft jobs. A majority of the Machinists union voted earlier this month to reject a new Boeing contract. Part of the rejected agreement said work on the 777X would be completed in Washington state. The vote is what has led Boeing officials to consider other locations.
