Snow Day Comes as Legislative Deadline Nears

Both the Kansas House and Senate called off their work for today (THUR) because of the winter storm. They’ve also said there will be little work on Friday, meaning many lawmakers won’t return to the Statehouse until Monday. But as KPR’s Stephen Koranda tells us, that cuts into the time lawmakers have before a legislative deadline.
