(Image credit: Boulder, Colorado Office of Emergency Management)

It's Severe Weather Awareness Week in Kansas, and today's focus is on flooding and flood warnings. Jillian Rodrigue (ROAD-rig) is with Douglas County Emergency Management. She says one of the biggest challenges communities face during such events is when people drive on roadways covered by floodwaters.

This week is Severe Weather Awareness Week in Kansas. For more information from the National Weather Service about floods and flash flooding, click here or here.
