In Session: Rewriting the Kansas School Finance Formula

Kansas lawmakers are hoping to write a new school funding formula and put it in place two years from now.  So, how do public schools get funded in the meantime?  That's just one of the issues addressed in this week's installment of "In Session," news from the Kansas Statehouse.  KPR's J. Schafer spoke with Statehouse reporter Stephen Koranda and Jim McLean, of the KHI News Service, to learn more.  First, Stephen was asked about doing away with the current plan to fund Kansas public schools.
