Kansas Senator Pat Roberts and his staff will be interviewing veterans Friday at the Dole Institute of Politics in Lawrence.
Katherine Knight, with Roberts’ office, says 20 veterans will share their stories in recorded interviews that will be archived in the Library of Congress.
“Basically just a way for them to pass on these stories for future generations to understand what our veterans have been through and what they’ve gained from this experience,” says Knight.
Knight says those being interviewed will range from a 97-year-old World War II veteran to soldiers who have served in more recent conflicts.
