Rural Dental Providers Face Squeeze from KanCare Dental Cuts

Some Kansas legislators say restoring cuts to KanCare, the state’s privatized Medicaid program, will be among their top priorities when they return to Topeka next month. They’re concerned the cuts in reimbursement rates will cause providers to drop out of the program. But as Heartland Health Monitor’s Andy Marso reports, that’s already happening with one type of provider – rural dentists.
