Nearly all motorists have either had car trouble, or will at some point. Perhaps the worst kind of car trouble is a breakdown... far from home. Former Kansas resident Walt Brinker has assisted more than 2,000 motorists whose cars have given them trouble. He's also written a book that can help you help yourself. It's called Roadside Survival: Low-Tech Solutions to Automobile Breakdowns. KPR's J. Schafer learned that Brinker decided to compile his tips and tricks after years of acting as a roadside Good Samaritan.
