Remembering WSU's Crash of October 2, 1970

Forty-four years ago, an airplane carrying football players from Wichita State University crashed in Colorado, killing 31 people.  This month, one of the eight survivors rode his bike from Cessna Stadium on the campus of Wichita State - to the site of the crash - to pay tribute to those who died.  We get more from Abigail Wilson of KMUW Radio.

Former Wichita State football player Rick Stephens left Wichita on his bike earlier this month on his 550 mile trek.  He's now in Limon (LY-mun), Colorado.  On Sunday, he plans to hike to the crash site, near the Eisenhower Tunnel .  The crash happened on October 2, 1970 and claimed 31lives.  This year marks the 44th anniversary of the fatal accident.
