Two Sought in KC Bank Robbery
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Federal authorities have been searching for two men accused of robbing a Kansas City, Kansas bank. A Bank Midwest was robbed by two men early yesterday. No one was hurt. The men fled with an undisclosed amount of money in a dark SUV driven by a woman.

State Suspends Day Care Center
TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) — State officials have issued an emergency suspension of a home day care license in Russell after a report that an infant was injured there. The Kansas Department of Health and Environment yesterday says it has suspended the license of the Heather Ragene Ross home day care because an initial investigation shows a four-month old child there sustained injuries "consistent with abuse shaken baby syndrome."

Courts Upholds Life Sentence in Child Sex Abuse Case
TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) — The Kansas Supreme Court has upheld the life sentence for a man convicted in Reno County of sexually abusing a 6-year-old boy. Aaron Salinas was sentenced to life in prison in 2010 after he pleaded guilty to abusing the boy in September 2008 while he was babysitting the child. Salinas was 18 when the crime occurred. He's serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole for 25 years.
