Red Cross, Other Groups Seeking Donations

Groups working to aid in the tornado recovery in Kansas and Missouri are urging those wishing to help to donate money. Deborah Tucker is with the Red Cross Capital Area Chapter, based in Topeka. She says a donation of funds is the most versatile way to help.

There’s more information on donating to the Red Cross at thinkred.org (think red dot org). The United Way is also accepting donations and organizing volunteers. Anyone in Kansas can call 2-1-1 to reach the United Way.

Stephen Koranda is KPR's Statehouse reporter.
