Program Highlights Controversy at Kansas SRS

Those changes will be profiled tonight (TUE) on public TV station KTWU in Topeka. Channel 11's public affairs program -- "I've Got Issues" -- will explore some of the controversial decisions made by the agency -- including the decision to close several SRS offices. Phyllis Gilmore, the new head of SRS who appears on tonight's (TUE) program, says she doesn't foresee any more closings in the near future.

Last year, SRS attempted to close nine local offices, but local governments were able to prevent five of them from being shut down. Tonight's (TUE) presentation of "I’ve Got Issues" will air at 7 o'clock on KTWU.
