Postcards, Shoe Leather Factor in Kansas Elections

In the summertime, the word “postcards” may evoke charming images of scenic vacation spots. But for candidates in the heat of the Kansas campaign season, postcards can be a threat, sent by an opponent to voters’ mailboxes, depicting skeletons in the closet or… ugly half-truths. As part of our Kansas elections project, Amy Jeffries reports.

Amy Jeffries is a reporter for KCUR, which is a partner with Kansas Public Radio in a statewide collaboration covering elections in Kansas. You can find more Kansas political coverage on Twitter and Facebook by using the hashtag #KS2016.

KCUR-FM, 89.3FM, is the flagship NPR station of the Kansas City metro area. It is part of Kansas City Public Media and part of the NPR digital network. Licensed to the University of Missouri-Kansas City and located on the UMCK campus.
