Operation Candyland Nets 12 Suspects in Prostitution Sting

(Photo by Stephen Koranda)An internet prostitution sting in Topeka has netted a dozen suspects. Topeka Police, the Shawnee County Sheriff and the Shawnee County District Attorney’s Office cooperated on the effort.  Topeka Police Chief Ron Miller says suspected prostitutes and people allegedly seeking prostitutes were apprehended.

Miller says the so-called Operation Candyland has been going on for several weeks and will continue into the future.
