As Nurse Practitioners Try to Shake Free of Doctors, Kansas Physicians Resist

In Kansas, nurse practitioners effectively need permission from doctors to work. Many nurses and public health experts say the rules do little more than limit patient options and sometimes cut into nurses’ earnings. Celia Llopis-Jepsen of theKansas News Service reports.
