ST. LOUIS (AP) - A Catholic social justice lobbying group will swing through Kansas next week as it begins a seven-state tour. The "Nuns on the Bus" tour will begin Thursday with a kickoff rally in St. Louis, and will pass through Kansas, Arkansas, Tennessee, Indiana, Ohio and West Virginia. The 2,000 journey will wrap up September 22 in Washington, D.C., as Pope Francis visits the White House. Sister Simone Campbell says that along the way, the nuns will visit shelter, schools, food pantries, and churches. Simone will attend Pope Francis's September 24 address to a joint session of Congress.
