New Algebra Class Helps Prepare Kansas Students for College

A third of Kansas high school students who go on to college are not scoring high enough on placement tests to enroll directly in college algebra. So, dozens of high schools in the state have been piloting a new math course that could save students from having to take remedial algebra classes.
