NCAA Tournament Update: Wichita State Falls, K-State Advances, KU Opens Play

In back-to-back NCAA tournaments, the men's team from Virginia Commonwealth has broken the heart of a team from Kansas. The 12th-seeded Virginia Commonwealth Rams defeated the 5th-seeded Wichita State Shockers, 62-59, last (THUR) night. As University of Kansas fans remember, VCU upset the Jayhawks last year to reach the Final Four. KU gets a fresh start at 9 o'clock tonight (FRI) against the University of Detroit. But as KPR's Greg Echlin reports, the Jayhawks aren't happy with the late start.

The Kansas State Wildcats have advanced to  the next round of the NCAA Tournament. After beating Southern Mississippi 70-64 yesterday (THUR), K-State takes on Syracuse tomorrow (SAT) in Pittsburgh.
