More Heavy Rains, Possible Flash Flooding

(Flickr Photo via Julian Povey) More showers and thunderstorms are moving across Kansas today (THUR). Audra Hennecke (HEN-ih-kee) is a forecaster for the National Weather Service in Topeka.

Hennecke (HEN-ih-kee) says the heaviest rain is expected tonight (THUR) and tomorrow (FRI) morning. That's prompted the weather service to issue a Flash Flood Watch. It takes effect tonight (THUR) and lasts through tomorrow (FRI) afternoon for the following counties: ANDERSON... COFFEY... DOUGLAS... FRANKLIN... GEARY... LYON... MORRIS... OSAGE... SHAWNEE... WABAUNSEE... DICKINSON AND OTTAWA.

Forecast Calls for Heavy Rain, Possible Flooding

A Flash Flood Watch takes effects for parts of eastern Kansas tonight (THUR). Audra Hennecke (HEN-ih-kee) is a forecaster for the National Weather Service in Topeka. She says showers and storms are expected to roll across eastern Kansas today (THUR), but the heaviest rainfall is expected later tonight (THUR) and tomorrow (FRI) morning.

The Flash Flood Watch takes effect tonight (THUR) and lasts through tomorrow (FRI) afternoon for much of eastern Kansas, including the cities of Topeka, Lawrence, Ottawa, Emporia, Junction City, Osage City and Abilene.
