Marshall Pressed to Defend Kansas Hunger Programs

Anti-hunger activists questioned whether Congressman Marshall had changed his position on food assistance for the poor.

Food insecurity in Geary and Riley counties is the worst in Kansas, and considerably worse than the national rate. The recently elected congressman for the 1st District, is Roger Marshall, a physician from Great Bend. Marshall told constituents at a town hall meeting that he will protect federal programs that provide assistance for the hungry. From the Kansas News Service, Bryan Thompson has more.
